Berthold Technologies has announced the introduction of the LB 567 Micro Polar for moisture measurements on conveyors and chutes.

The successor to the popular LB 456 Micro Moist, the LB 567 Micro Polar contains many new and advanced features for simple and trouble free operation.

Set up and calibration are now done entirely on the main panel  screen. There is no need to use a laptop or similar device to perform initial startup and calibration.

The LB 567 Micro Polar comes in two models. The standard LB 567 Micro Polar can be used for most standard applications. However, in cases where product attenuation or larger pipe sizes are involved, the LB  567 ++ Micro Polar can be used. With an additional HF amplifier built into the unit, the LB 567Micro Polar ++ has the capability for additional power output to perform successfully in the toughest of applications.

The LB 567 Micro Polar now has the capability to receive an output from a level system or weigh scale to perform load compensation when the material across the belt is not flat. The 567 Micro Polar receives this output from one of its 4-20 mA current inputs so that the measurement can be compensated due to varying process loads.

Using a wider dynamic range than earlier units, the 4th generation LB 567 Micro Polar sets the standard for accurate and repeatable microwave moisture measurement for bulk solids.
