Berthold Technologies announces SuperSens detector with HART, Profibus and
Foundation Fieldbus capability. |
Berthold Technologies
has announced additional communications capability for its high sensitivity
detector,
the SuperSens LB490/491.
The SuperSens detector family incorporates a
large scintillation crystal with a sensitive electronic detection package.
The SuperSens provides maximum sensitivity for applications where
traditional detectors cannot work.
It is also a great alternative
for retrofitting existing systems with older sources. In many cases, this
strategy can save thousands of dollars in disposal costs.
The SuperSens, in addition to a
standard 4-20 mA output, now comes with an optional platforms for HART
protocol, Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus. By incorporating these
communications options, the SuperSens now has the flexibility required of
any application requirement. Using these options, all of the electronics are
at the gauge head--thus eliminating the need for remote electronics.
If a standard transmitter (or evaluation
unit) is required, the SuperSens can also provide this capability
Regardless of requirement, the SuperSens now has the capability and capacity
to meet the most sensitive process measurement requirements--and
provide maximum flexibility for operation and communication.
