Berthold Technologies introduces the LB 8010 Fracing Density System designed for oil and gas fracturing companies.
For the past 3 years, Berthold
Technologies has worked with fracng companies to develop a density
measurement system that would stand up to the rigorous
environment which exists in the oil and gas fracturing industry.
For years, fracing companies had
literally one supplier who provided density measurement
equipment for both low and high pressure lines.
Several years ago, Berthold
Technologies was approached by a major oilfield fracing company
about the possibility of developing a radiometric density gauge
which would be rugged enough to stand up to their severe environment.
This was indeed a challenge, and
one that Berthold Technologies readily accepted.
The results of our field testing
has led to the development of the most ruggedized density system
on the market today, the LB 8010 Fracing Density System. Some of the developments we did to meet the requirements of this market are:
a. Provide a ruggedized , heavy
duty scintillation based detectors
b. Develop a new 100%
stainless steel radiometric shield--the LB 8010 which can stand up to the
high vibration and rugged conditions
c. Develop a high vibration,
rugged universal pipe clamp which allows mounting on
either a 4 inch or 8 inch pipe.
d. Develop the
4-20
Translator (c),a new Berthold technologies product,to
provide cementing and fracing related units of measure (e.g.
PPA, KgSa, etc) in two independent and isolated outputs.
The LB 8010 Fracing
density system has been tested in the field on both high and low
pressure lines, the LB 8010 System has proven itself up to the
task in providing reliable, repeatable measurements in the
Fracing world.
Having ruggedized our already
field proven scintillation detectors, we then addressed the size
of the radiometric sources used in facing density applications.
Berthold Technologies has found that the source size required
for the LB 8010 system is anywhere from 4-10 times less than
competitive systems.
